Mehdi Bouziane is an official tour guide based in Marrakech, Morocco, with more than 10 years of experience. He guides private and small-group tours in the medina and souks of Marrakech and organises day trips to Essaouira and the Ourika Valley.

Do I need a guide in the Marrakech medina?
It is not mandatory, but an official guide helps you find your way in the maze of alleys, avoid fake guides, understand the history of the monuments and discover places most visitors miss.
Are entrance fees included in the tours?
It depends on the tour. Medina tours do not include monument tickets (for example Bahia Palace 100 MAD and Ben Youssef Madrasa 50 MAD). The Majorelle combo includes entry to the Majorelle Garden, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and the Berber Museum.
Do you offer hotel or riad pickup?
Yes. Private medina tours start with a pickup on foot from your riad or hotel in the medina, and the Essaouira day trip includes pickup and drop-off at your accommodation in an air-conditioned vehicle.
How long do the tours last?
The medina tour takes about 3 hours, the Ben Youssef & Secret Garden tour and the souk shopping tour about 4 hours, and the Essaouira and Ourika Valley trips are full-day excursions from Marrakech.
What should I bring for a walking tour in Marrakech?
Comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sunscreen, water, some cash in dirhams for entrance fees and small purchases, and clothes that cover shoulders and knees for a respectful visit.
